Living Independently Home Care, LLC (LIHC) was founded with a mission to provide compassionate, personalized care that promotes dignity and independence. From December 2001 to June 2007, we proudly served as a contracted home care provider through Missouri Health and Senior Services, delivering in-home care to seniors and individuals with disabilities.

During that time, our dedicated team of Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Home Health Aides, and remote administrative staff pioneered a flexible approach to care — including remote work models long before they became standard.

Following that period, LIHC transitioned to private duty care, continuing to uphold our core values of integrity, compassion, and flexibility in service delivery.

“Do It Our Way” — A New Vision for Independent Living

Since its founding, LIHC has evolved with a guiding philosophy: "Do It Our Way." That means doing what works best for the individuals we serve — not just what’s always been done. Our mission is rooted in creating solutions that are both practical and personal.

Inspired by our success in other ventures — including earning Super Host status on Airbnb for over two years — we saw an opportunity to rethink how housing, comfort, and independence could intersect. We applied the same standards of cleanliness, care, and dignity that made our Airbnb experience successful, and adapted them to serve a broader mission.

🏠 Introducing the Living Independently Housing Program

Out of this vision, the Living Independently Housing Program was born — a community-based initiative designed to offer safe, stable, and furnished housing to:

• Seniors 

• Veterans 

• Adults in transition

The program operates as a subsidiary of Living Independently Home Care, LLC, and reflects our ongoing commitment to quality, independence, and respect.  We believe that everyone deserves a place to call home — even if they don’t need medical care or staff oversight. Just a clean room, peace of mind, and a fresh start.
